Her Excellency the Wife of the Governor of Benue State, Dr. Mrs. Eunice Erdoo Ortom wishes to inform Benue State indigenes currently applying for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) under the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to take advantage of the second batch of the free forms provided by her pet project, the Eunice Spring of Life Foundation (ESLF).
The Wife of the Governor added that the second stream include both boys and girls but more emphasis would be accorded to those with science background.
Dr. Mrs. Ortom said as a mother of the State, she was moved by the sufferings and encumbrances encountered by UTME applicants and felt the need to intervene in making available the forms at no cost to the Benue-Child.
She also noted that the decision is borne out of her uncommon quest to see that the Benue-Child is given unhindered opportunities and privileges to actualize his or her educational pursuit and equip them for the future to be useful to themselves and the society.
Her Excellency equally wishes to commend girls who took advantage of the first batch of the exercise for their orderly conduct and challenged those applying now to behave in like manner.
Furthermore, it is Her Excellency’s believe that young young people should be valued and well nurtured so as to be responsible citizens and take committed actions that can change the world for the better.
