Hon. Gbande James Aemberga, who hails from Injorov-Turan in Kwande local Government Area, was born on 2nd June, 1956.
He started his working career at the N.K.S.T Primary School, Tum-Turan as Class Teacher between January and December 1971. He worked in the same capacity at the L.G.E.A Primary School, Ugondo in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area from July 1976 to July 1977. He worked as Headmaster in various primary schools in Katsina-Ala and Kwande local government areas from 1978 to 2007. He was also appointed Head of Social Mobilization of Kwande Local Government Education Authority by the State Universal Basic Education Board, where he served from 2007 to 2010.
Hon. Aemberga has held several other positions of responsibility which include member of the Joint Peace Committee of Benue/Taraba States in 1987; Course Leader, Elementary Education, University of Calabar among others.
He contested for the Kwande-East State Constituency in the 2015 General Elections under the platform of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) and came out victorious. Hon. Aemberga was inaugurated as member of the Benue State House of Assembly on the 5th June, 2015.
Hon. Gbande, who is married and blessed with four (4) children, enjoys reading, indoor activities, sports and travelling.
