Engr. George Edeh was born on 10th April, 1959 in Ado Local Government Area.

In 1966 he was enrolled at the LGEA Primary School, Shabu, Lafia in Nasarawa State where he completed primary education in 1972 and obtained the First School Leaving Certificate.

Thereafter, he gained admission into Government College, Makurdi from 1973 to 1977 and completed with the West African School Certificate, WASC.

Engr. Edeh proceeded to Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna for the Ordinary National Diploma, (OND) as well as Higher National Diploma, (HND) in Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering between 1977 and 1982.

He also studied at the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi from where he obtained the Bachelor of Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering between 1992 and 1995.

Engr. Edeh was a teacher at the Government Technical School Idi-Aba Abeokuta, Ogun State during the mandatory National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, service year.

Thereafter, he was employed by Radio Benue Corporation, Makurdi as Technical Officer II where he rose through the ranks to become the Head of Department of Engineering of the Corporation. 

He was also appointed the pioneer Station Manager of the Radio Benue Idekpa Sub-Station in Ohimini Local Government Area. 

Engr. Edeh was elevated to the pinnacle of his public service career as Permanent Secretary and served variously at the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Office of the Deputy Governor, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Ministry of Information and Orientation, Civil Service Commission, Ministry of Water Resources and Environment, as well as the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.

In the course of his duties, Engr. Edeh attended several courses, workshops and seminars both locally, nationally and internationally.

He is a member of many associations and professional bodies including, Council for the Registration of Engineers, COREN, Nigerian Society of Engineers, NSE, Nigerian Institute of Electrical Electronics Engineering, NIEEE, among others.

He is a widely travelled person who has visited United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, Cuba, Spain, Germany and Kenya.

His hobbies include travelling, reading of novels, magazines and periodicals as well as playing table tennis.
Engr. Edeh is married with children.
