Hon. Matthew Tyokuma Mnyam
Special Adviser on Education

Hon. Mnyam, Special Adviser on Education is a grassroots mobilizer, educationist and effective party man.
 
Born on 25th October, 1968, he had  primary education at the  Roman Catholic Mission, RCM, Primary School, Udei, from 1975 to 1980, aftewhich he proceeded to Mount St.  Gabriel's Secondary School, Makurdi for secondary education between 1981 and 1985.
 
Hon. Mnyam did a certificate course in Store Keeping Practices at the Staff Development Centre, Makurdi in 1993.
 
Further education took him to the Benue State University, Makurdi between 1999 and 2003 where he bagged a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and  in 2015, he again studied for and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Education.
 
He started work at the Community Secondary School, Makurdi as Laboratory Attendant for two years before he transferred services to Government Comprehensive College, Udei as storekeeper. He was promoted to the rank of  Senior Store Officer and was on this rank from 1996 to 2000.
 
He had a stint at the Federal Medical Centre, Makurdi as Laboratory Assistant after which he was a Chemistry teacher before his current appointment as Special Adviser on Education.
 
Hon Mnyam has been involved with community service and has been as youth leader and representative of Guma council chairman on Community and Social Development Agency, Secretary, Advisory Board of Government Secondary School, Gbajimba, and Chairman, Staff Welfare Bam, Government Day Secondary School, GSS, Udei.
 
He is a member, Chemical Association of Nigeria and has presented  several papers at  public lectures.
 
Mnyam is also ascholar with several publications to his credit.
