Mr. Igbarumun Igbudu who hails from Mbakaange, Vandeikya local government area was born on 10th March 1955 in Gboko.
He had early education at the N.K.S.T Primary School, Gboko-South between 1963 and 1968 where he obtained the First School Leaving Certificate. Thereafter, he gained admission into the Government Secondary School, Gboko in 1969 and completed with the West African School Certificate, WASC, in June, 1973.
Mr. Igbudu proceeded to the Federal School of Arts and Science Sokoto, where he studied for two years and obtained the Higher School Certificate, HSC, in English Literature, Economics and Geography in 1976. He was offered admission into the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and after three years of study, 1978 – 1980, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Literature in 1980.
After a brief stint in the Benue State public service, Mr Igbudu enrolled for graduate studies at the University of Jos, and graduated with the Masters Degree of Public Administration, MPA, in 1996.
In addition he has received extensive administrative and professional courses and obtained several certificates within and outside Nigeria.
Mr. Igbudu is a fellow of the Public Administration Institute of Nigeria.
He commenced his working career at the Kings Comprehensive College, Mkar, Gboko, as a class teacher between 1976 and 1977.
After graduating from ABU, he participated in the mandatory National Service Corps (NYSC) programme at the Ugbeka College, Egboehae then in Bendel, but now Edo State, as a teacher, 1980 – 1981.
He later took up appointment with the Directorate of Information, Benue State as Information Officer Two and also worked with the Nigeria Television Authority as News Editor One between 1981 and 1983.
At the then Benue State Public Utilities Board, he was Assistant Secretary One, Senior Assistant Secretary, Principal Assistant Secretary, Assistant Director of Personnel Management and subsequently, Secretary, Benue State Water Board.
Between 1996 and 1998 he served as Acting Director Administration, Bureau of Political Affairs, Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
He served as Deputy Director, Special Duties in the Military Administrator’s Office and acted as Director in same office, 1999 – 2000. Mr. Igbudu was appointed Director, Administration and Finance, Office of the State Auditor General from June to November, 2000.
In the same year he was posted as Director, Benue State Executive Council Secretariat, Cabinet Office where he served as Secretary for seven years.

In the course of his public service, he received several special commendations.
While serving as Permanent Secretary, state EXCO, he was honoured with another letter of commendation by the Governor of Benue State for dedication to duty, trustworthiness and outstanding performances in the handling of Executive Council Meetings and Related Affairs.
He was also rewarded with a gift of a brand new Peugeot 307; alongside a cash donation of N2,000,000.00 by Governor George Akume.
Mr Igbudu belongs to several professional associations.
Apart from being an ASCONIAN; he is a Jerusalem Pilgrim (JP); member of the Institute of Personnel Management, Member, Commonwealth Association of Public Administration and Management (CAPAM); Fellow of the Public Administration (FPA) Institute; as well as member, Makurdi Club alongside Kunav and Mbakaange Development Associations.
He is married to Mrs. Dorothy Shimenenge Igbudu and Mrs. Ann Ngohide Igbudu and blessed with nine amiable children; five girls and four boys.
He has visited Senegal, Niger, Israel, Ghana, Malaysia, Qatar, Malta, Ethiopia, Italy, United Kingdom and India.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing lawn tennis, basketball, reading and travelling.
Above all, he has an incurable interest in the development of his community and his kinsmen are proud of him.
