Hon. Uba Titus Tyoapine

 Hon. Uba was born on 25thSeptember, 1965. He hails from Akehe, Ute, in Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State.

He started primary school at LGEA Primary School, Akehe, Ute in Vandeikya in 1973 but later transferred to Demonstration Primary School, Makurdi where he obtained his FSLC n 1979. In 1979, the young Uba got admission into Mt. St. Michael’s Secondary School, Aliade, graduating in 1984 with a GCE “O” Level.

In 1987, Uba attended the Federal Polytechnic, Idah in Kogi State, finishing in1989 with a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. In quest of further education, he proceeded to the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi in 2002 and graduated in 2004 with a HND, also in Mechanical Engineering.

Hon. Uba, before his election into the state assembly, was the Maintenance Manager at Teragro Commodities Limited, a subsidiary of Transcorp PLC, which produces consumables such as Fruit Juice, Tomato paste and plastic containers. He had previously worked at Yuteco Foods Limited, Gboko, Ana Gas Limited Jos, as well asAjaokuta Steel Company, Kogi State. He also at one time worked as Assistant Technical Officer with Vandeikya local government, and later with Benro Packaging Company Gboko.

He specializes in Industrial Machine Operations and Mechanical Maintenance, having undergone training under expatriate experts from Russia, Italy and South Korea.

In 1992, he attended a Basic Maintenance workshop in Ilorin, Kwara State and in 2009, attended a one month course onTechnical Training on Soya Beans and Rice production in South Korea.

The Kyan State representative describes himself as “resourceful and highly skilled, innovative and motivated individual who loves challenges, accepts responsibility and works with minimal supervision”.

He is married to Pauline and they have four children.
