Makurdi, Benue State – Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia of Benue State today extended a warm welcome to Nigerian professional footballer Ahmed Musa at the Government House in Makurdi. The meeting, which highlighted the governor’s commitment to advancing sports development in the region, was marked by the presentation of a national team jersey by Musa.

Ahmed Musa, a renowned athlete celebrated for his achievements on the global stage, visited the Governor as part of his ongoing efforts to inspire and support emerging talents across Nigeria. Musa’s gesture of presenting his national team jersey was received with immense gratitude by the Governor, who expressed appreciation for the football star’s contribution to both the sport and the nation.

The Governor praised Musa not only for his outstanding career but also for his role as an ambassador of Nigerian sports. “Ahmed Musa’s visit demonstrates the importance of nurturing talent and supporting sports development,” said the Governor. “His achievements serve as an inspiration for our youth, and we are committed to creating more opportunities for our local talent to shine on the international stage.”
