He started his early education at Udebo Primary School, Utonkon where he graduated with a First School leaving Certificate (FSLC) in 1991. He thereafter proceeded to the Federal Technical College Otukpo and graduated with NABTEB/NTC certificate in 1998.
Hon. Ogbu got admission into the Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo to study Mechanical Engineering where he graduated with Higher National Diploma (HND) in 2009.
He started his working career with Egbim Power Station as Siews Member where he worked in the plant maintenance department in 2002. Under the compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), he worked as class Instructor at the Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School, Aliero, Kebbi State in 2010. Thereafter he was employed by Ado Local Government Area as Assistant Technical Officer in the Works Department. He also served as Secretary to the Ado local government council in 2012.
Hon. Ogbu contested for the Ado State Constituency in the 2015 General Elections under the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) and came out victorious. He was inaugurated as member of the Benue State House of Assembly on the 5th June, 2015.
Hon. Ogbu, who is married, enjoys reading e-books and net surfing.
