Benue State Governor Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia has described the death of Tor Jechira His Royal Highness, Chief Clement Uganden as a great loss not just to the state but humanity in general.
The Governor stated this Saturday, August 17, 2024 in Vandeikya while briefing the press after he inspected the ongoing work at the cemetery of first class chiefs in Vandeikya.
Governor Alia later signed the memorial guest book offering condolences to the family and expressed words of comfort and fond memories of the deceased ahead of the burial on Wednesday August 21, 2024.
He described the death of His Royal Highness, Late Clement Uganden as a monumental loss to humanity, extolling the deceased virtues of peace, selflessness, and philanthropy, adding that his commitment to upgrading the traditional institution in Jechira cannot be forgotten.
The Governor thanked the Central Planning Committee for their unwavering dedication to ensuring that the late monarch is giving a befitting burial.
The Caretaker Chairman of Vandeikya Local Government and Chairman, Central Planning Committee, Hon. Dennis Guda said every necessary arrangements were being made to ensure a hitch free burial ceremony.
