The APC Unity Caretaker Committee has adopted the approval of the State Executive Committee in Benue for the conduct of primary elections towards participating in the October 5, 2024 local government elections in the state.
The party’s schedule of activities is slated as follows:
1. Notice of Primary Election: August 16, 2024
2. Sale of Nomination/ Expression of Interest Forms: Tuesday August 27- Thursday August 29, 2024
3. Submission of Completed Forms: Friday August 30 – Saturday August 31, 2024
4. Screening of Aspirants: Sunday September 1, 2024
5. Publication of Claims and Objections: Monday September 2, 2024
6. Screening Appeals: Tuesday September 3, 2024
7. Primary Elections: Wednesday September 4, 2024
8. Primary Election Appeals: Thursday September 5, 2024
9. Preparation/ Submission of List of Nominated Candidates: Friday September 6, 2024
COST OF FORMS:
CHAIRMAN
1. Nomination Form- 3,000,000
2. Expression of Interest Form- 2, 000,000
COUNCILLOR
1. Nomination Form- 300,000
2. Expression of Interest Form- 200,000
All payments for nomination/ expression of interest forms MUST be made into the party’s dedicated Zenith Bank account number: 1313262251, APC BENUE STATE CHAPTER,SALE OF FORMS.
NOTE: All female aspirants and persons living with disabilities are to purchase only expression of interest forms while nomination forms shall be given to them free of charge.
Apart from nomination/ expression of interest forms, statutory party dues, development levies and handling charges shall apply.
Aspirants are advised to adhere strictly to the released schedule of activities as there is no room for extension anymore.
