By Isaac Uzaan

Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia has charged APC Chairmanship candidates from the 23 local government areas in Benue State and their Deputies to close ranks with the aggrieved members of the party and work for the interest of the state.

The Governor gave the charge Monday, September 23, 2024 at Old Banquet Hall, Government House, Makurdi during an exclusive meeting with all the Chairmanship candidates of APC and their Deputies in the forthcoming local government elections in Benue State.

Represented by his Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Paul Biam, Governor Alia appealed to those who felt aggrieved with the outcome of the process that led to the selection of the chairmanship candidates and their Deputies to accept the outcome in good faith.

He advised them to look up to the bigger picture which, according to him, was the party and the government he was leading, adding that there were many things left in stock that most of them would be considered suitable for.

The meeting also featured some APC point men in some of the local government Areas who were also advised to work for peace and success of the party in the forthcoming local council elections.

One chairmanship candidate each from the three geopolitical zones in the state responded on behalf of others and promised to close ranks and work for the success of APC in the council elections and for the growth and development of Benue State.
