Governor Hyacinth Alia expresses sadness over the sudden death of Prof. Saint Gbilekaa, a former Chief of Staff in Benue State.

Prof. Gbilekaa died at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH), on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024, after a brief illness.

The governor who describes the news of Prof. Gbilekaa’s demise as painful and a great loss to the State, says his intellectual prowess will greatly be missed not only by the Tiv nation and Benue as a state, but Nigeria as a whole.

He however, urges all to be consoled, considering that the legacies of the late Prof. Saint Gbilekaa as a lecturer and particularly, his time and contributions as the Chief of Staff to former Governor Gabriel Suswam between 2007 and 2015, will always remain prominent.

The governor prays God Almighty grants him eternal rest, just as he prays that the good Lord gives his immediate family, friends, colleagues, students around the world, and the entire people of Benue state the fortitude to bear this great loss.
