The Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, paid a condolence visit to Vice President Kashim Shettima today, June 28, 2024, at his official residence in Abuja.

The visit was to express sympathies over the passing of Vice President Shettima’s mother-in-law, Hajiya Maryam Albishir, who died at the age of 69.

Governor Alia conveyed his condolences to Vice President Shettima during their meeting, offering support and solidarity during this period of mourning.

Hajiya Maryam Albishir’s demise has been noted with sadness by those close to Vice President Shettima and his family.

Vice President Shettima, receiving Governor Alia, expressed gratitude for the visit and the heartfelt condolences extended by the people of Benue State. The Vice President and his family continue to receive condolences from various quarters as they navigate this period of mourning.
